Burgundy Dye

My daughter happiness knew no bounds ,they were showing it of to all their friends.The colour has come out well .One is said to have a very loving husband if the henna(mendhi ) dye is dark, the darker the merrier
.

I applied henna on both my daughters and my hand this "Rakshabandhan" I had learned this art 18 years back before my marriage, was not sure if it would come out well.

Henna is a shrub of 2-6m height ,it's native of tropical reigions of Africa,Southern Asia and Australasia.It has been in use since Bronze Age. It is applied on wedding ceremonies and feslivals for good luck,joy and happiness.Henna has an affinity to bond with protien due to the presence of lawsone, a burgundy dye molecule.Henna when used in a traditional way is harmless but when boosted with chemicalsphenylenediamine, silver nitrate, pyrogallol and carmine it can cause severe alergic reactions causing lifelong health damages

"Rakshabandhan" is a pious festival of brother and sisterly love.
